When Your Creative Has Been Exhausted
How do you rejuvenate your creative self?
When life has hits that stop you in your tracks, how do you keep being creative?
This year, as are so many lately, I have had losses that have hit me differently at this time in my life.
"They say"
Rest, take good care of yourself...
OK, sure
I do not know about you, but I'm guessing that if you are reading this, you are a creative person.
I do believe taking care of your physical self is very important, and if you are creative, you need to revive this part of yourself as therapy to fill your soul and your heart to keep on going.
Simple tools -
If you are creative, take time to evaluate what you have regarding supplies.
I found I had so much and needed just a few items to get that project going that inspires me now.
I also found that looking through my drawings and writings inspires me. I think, "Oh, I remember that." Yes, that is something I want to pursue now.
Then I also found things that I had two of or something I will never do, a book I was ready to let go of, so those are in a bag and ready to go to my nearest woman's organization to bless them. That feels good, too.
Lifting up your soul is so important when life does not go the way you wanted it to, and a pity party just does not work anymore.
Clean that camera, dust off your brushes, and read ten pages a day of inspiration. Now, get going and give your creative self to yourself and others.
You are critical to all you touch!
