I had a roommate back when I was a flight attendant with Alaska Airlines in Seattle that would get up every morning
and say to her image in the mirror,
Hello Beautiful!
Then she would start getting ready for her day.
Throughout her morning routine, she would continually give herself positive words as she looked at herself in the mirror.
By the time she was at the breakfast table for her second cup of coffee, her joy and confidence were overflowing!
I must admit when we first started rooming together I would have to hold my laughter.
She made me laugh!
Not that her words were not powerful, but she said them with total conviction!
She really believed that she was all those powerful words and when she left the house you best get out of her way if you didn't agree.
So one day (while she was gone) I tried all her powerful words on myself.
At first, I was embarrassed to say them. Who was I embarrassing, it was only me there. Then laughter took over...I will try tomorrow I'd say.
It was so hard for me to say those positive and powerful words to myself with her conviction.
With daily practice in front of the mirror, I believe now that these powerful words were for me too!
Here is one saying I use
from George Carlin
I'm Good Enough,
I'm Smart Enough,
and
Dog Gone It, People Like Me!
Say Hello Beautiful Every Morning In Front of Your Mirror and Believe it!
