Every day, Everyday Action!
Goals do not make things happen. Rituals and habits do.
I will give you an example of one of the rituals and habits that I do daily.
Morning Time
Gratefulness and ten pages of reading from positive words
I have an area set up just for me in my home which has all my tools to create my day.
Coffee for me is a must, warm sweater, my chair, pens, pencils, whatever book I am reading that generates positive thoughts, and my bible study.
Some days I have more time than others.
After so many years of creating this time, it is a habit, and I miss it if something goes wrong and I do not get my time in the morning.
Traveling can be a challenge, but I get it in at a different time and not as long.
The triggers that have helped me get into this morning's time are a warm coffee, chair, sweater, fun colored pens, stickers, and knowing how I would feel about myself for the day!
I have added reminders to my desk and chair. I get it ready for the following day, pick my coffee cup, and have it out waiting for my time.
My sweater is waiting for me, and my pens are gathered together for the following day.
My accountability is looking at the beautiful sticker I put in my planner that tells me I started my day the way I planned.
This habit helps me with one of my Goals which does touch into some of my other goals.
But this one, for me, is my first step.
My next step to another goal which I have in my health goals is Movement
Small Steps to Every Day, Everyday Action!
