"I SEE YOU"

Two hours of photographing a pair of Osprey in the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge

This male kept on leaving and bringing building material for the nest. The female would organize the moss, stems, and whatever he got to build the nest.

But I could tell he was frustrated with her when he started to drop sticks on her head, then on me.

This photo is of him swooping down on me. I had my 500mm lens on, and looking through the camera, I got concerned but kept taking pictures.

After that event, the female finally left the nest and came back with a big bunch of moss and bog for the nest.

That made the male very happy, and they consummated their bond. Which I did photograph.
